Jim Williams is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in Civil Trial Law. He holds Martindale Hubbell’s highest rating of AV. He has been admitted to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), one of the most highly respected organizations in the nation for civil trial lawyers. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and sits on the Committee for Civil Rights and Governmental Liability.

Mr. Williams graduated from Auburn University in 1983 and the Cumberland School of Law in 1986. He began his trial practice prosecuting cases as an Assistant State Attorney in Pinellas County, Florida. Mr. Williams specializes in defending complex multi-party litigation. He also has extensive experience representing governmental entities throughout the state. He litigates all classes of lawsuits including civil rights claims, employment discrimination, personal injury, wrongful death, product failures, professional malpractice, constitutional challenges, and commercial disputes.

Mr. Williams is a member of the Palm Beach and Martin County Bars as well as the Florida Bar. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts throughout Florida as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.

When not practicing law, Jim’s time is spent fishing, golfing, and enjoying Florida’s remarkable outdoors. He is a past State Chairman of the Coastal Conservation Association of Florida and the current Vice President of The Foundation for Responsible Angling (the Sailfish tag). He also sits as a Trustee of Bizpac of Palm Beach County, a local business organization promoting sound governmental practices.
