Controller

Location: North Palm Beach, FL

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of financial management and compliance.

Position Overview:

As a Controller at Williams, Leininger & Cosby, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the firm’s financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. You will lead a dedicated team and collaborate closely with the firm’s shareholders and management to drive financial strategies and decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Manage all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning, and analysis.
  • Accounting and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, prepare financial statements, and generate financial and analysis reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and reporting, including tax filings.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with firm partners and management to develop financial strategies that align with the firm’s growth objectives.
  • Audit Preparation: Coordinate external audits and ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Cost Control: Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Policy Development: Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to maintain a high level of internal control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or commensurate experience .
  • Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role within a law firm or professional services firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and trust accounting.
  • Experience with Accounting Seed software preferred.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Litigation Paralegal

We seek a skilled litigation paralegal with the professionalism and experience to benefit your colleagues and clients.
