Melanie M. Barker grew up in Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University in 1999 with distinction with a degree in History. Shortly after graduating, she moved Florida and the Treasure Coast. She worked for several years in mortgage and financial services. She then attended the University of Floridalaw school where she graduated in 2010 Cum Laude. After graduation and until she joined Williams, Leininger & Cosby, she worked for Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc, a local legal aid organization, handling a variety of civil matters including numerous bench trials and appellate work in the 19 th Judicial Circuit. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and in the Southern District of Florida. She specializes in civil litigation.
